Dr. Stephen Tannenbaum, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 85. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Steve graduated from Peabody High School, where his singing talent was showcased by starring in his class play. He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh and graduated as a dentist, beginning his esteemed career.
Steve married Shirley, the love of his life, and together they shared 61 wonderful years. The couple lived and practiced in Greensburg, PA, where Steve became a well-respected figure in the community. His beautiful singing voice was not only a feature of his high school years but continued to shine when he performed as a lay cantor at his synagogue. Steve also served as president of the synagogue, demonstrating his dedication and leadership.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, his two children, Gary and Jamie, and two grandchildren, Steven and Kate.
Steve's passion for writing was evident throughout his life, as he constantly created characters in his mind, some of which found their way into his many stories.
Dr. Stephen Tannenbaum's legacy will live on through his family, his community contributions, and his enduring creativity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
