It's that time of the year again. The weather is cooling down (mostly) and the leaves are changing colors which means INKTOBER is on the horizon! Inktober is an event that takes place every October. Created in October 2009 by Jake Parker, Inktober challenges artists to make an ink drawing for every day in October based off one word prompts. You can also follow Inktober 52, where you post an ink drawing for every week of a year. There are four simple rules:
1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want). 2) Post it* 3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2022 4) Repeat
I have always wanted to complete Inktober as it's a great way to get in the habit of drawing everyday. Last year I finally got the chance to finish it! I had a blast and many new ideas came from my drawings. I used a combination of traditional inking and digital inking. Personally, I use Inktober as a way to push myself and my art by trying new brushes, styles, and perspectives. The prompts are released for 2022 so if you want to practice your art skills, I'd highly recommend it!

Time for me to make a quick sketchbook and copy the prompts. I'm in!
