We had a lovely evening at the Fort Smith Library. A nice crowd of new and old friends joined us for a very special program to be presented by Professor Tom Wing about the Drennon-Scott House project. However, as we arrived, we were also greeted by Mayor George McGill with a surprise. Here he is with FSHS President Sherry Tolliver as he explains and presents us with a very special gift. These funds will support our mission to preserve the many voices that make up the history of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Thank You, Mayor McGill! We will use it wisely.
