Book People is the largest independent bookstore in Texas. Located in downtown Austin, it has carried a myriad of titles for 20 years and was voted Bookstore of the Year in 2005 by Publisher’s Weekly. It offers teacher and library resources, book clubs, book boxes, and online ordering. Authors also come in and speak about their writing.
The bookstore has a coffee shop called Coffee People open from 9am to 9pm daily where patrons can look at there books over a cuppa brew. It offers sandwiches, desserts, and vegan/gluten-free options.
