For those of us who do research every single day…browsing through old directories, documents, magazines, books, and columns…this information about what the new verson of Apple Notes will do for you will make you jump for joy.
I spend half my research life finding information and the other half struggling to make it usable. I can scan it in a scanner of course, but that’s a picture and I have to retype it when I get home to make it electronically copyable. I can even scan it with my phone, but it’s still a picture. Now though, you can get live text right from raggedy old books and some old newspapers. (I havn’t tried this on 1897 newspaper scans but will get back to you when I do.)
Trust me, if you do work like this, this video is worth your time. Not just for live text…but in general. But definitely for live text.
