On my trip to Texas, my friend took me to hear Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys in Arlington, Texas. Wills is gone now but the group performing has the blessings of the former leader’s family.
I didn’t think I’d enjoy the music until they played the Steel Guitar Rag. From there to the last number, San Antonio Rose, I was fascinated by music my father would have loved.
